Priest is a really very confusing class. It is a melee fighter, holding a scythe, and yet a support class that heals. I am going to talk a lot about this character class and why it is so weird.
Class Features
Firstly, let us simply take a look at the class description:Cause abnormal states
I play the priest class, and I am assure you priest do not cause abnormal states. The only visible effect is poison, which deal damage over time.
And the damage over time only applies in PVP, it has no effect on monsters. Poison is just a regular damaging attack against monsters.
Heals and casts assistance spells
Absolutely weird. Priest definitely heals. Self heal has a cool down of 60 secs. Healing wave cool down 120 secs, and healing circle cool down 180 secs.
The cool down reduces by 2 secs per level up enchant of the heal spell
And the amount of healing is 100 HP at level 1 self heal, and 300 HP at level 1 healing wave and healing circle.
The heal spells heals less than a potion, and have a cool down 10 times longer than a potion.
Fighter class is able to cast iron skin and defensive assistance spells. Slasher has got crit buffs.
But priest has got spells that heals HP and MP for 300-500 amount (2 minutes cool down spell) and that's it.
Totally absurd description. Priest do not cast any assistance spell. It simply heals a very little bit.
Strikes heavy damage such as stun and knock back
Every single class have knock back abilities.
Mage has 2 freezing skill that can freeze for 5 seconds
Fighter has got stun combos and skills that is able to multiple enemies
Slasher has evasive spells and quick reaction time to quickly evade monster
But Priest, Priest can't stun, have plenty of knock back spell. but really, it does not stun at all.
Reality of Priest
Now after playing priest for quite some time, I have give my unbiased opinion of this character class.
Priest is a super strong class in player-versus-environment.
Priest has got long range and large area of effect combo that is suitable to clearing huge wave of monster at a time.
Although the casting speed is slow, the damage and wide area of effect range makes up for it
Poison splash skill is a joy to use. It's range covers half of my area-of-sight.
And poison splash is a 3-hit attack spell, and does not inflict poison status, weird huh.
Priest is horribly weak in player-versus-player and player-versus-boss, or 1V1 situations.
Priest greatest asset is wide attack rage and attacking multiple enemies at once
When it comes to 1v1 situations, priest loses out.
Attack speed is slow, other player or boss can attack you before you can even retaliate
Every single spell has got a cast time and when the boss attack you, it breaks your spell casting rendering your spell useless
Priest are bad at healing
Self heal is a really good spell. It has a cool down of freaking 52 seconds at level 5 enchant. But with 600 int stats, it heals about 2000 hp
Healing wave is crap. It heals your team but not yourself. Has a cool down of 2 minutes. I hardly ever use this skill
Healing circle is a potential good spell. BUT the cool down is 3 minutes, in a 4v4 PVP, you can only use it once, and when you cast it, most likely the enemy team will break your casting by attacking you.
In summary, Priest is just a very good class for farming. And is only good for farming, nothing else.
